The GPIM range of general purpose immersion systems are designed for basic inspection requirements but can also incorporate turn-tables (for aero-engine disc inspection), roller blocks (for tube inspection) or any other specialist equipment to customer requirements.
Standard systems are supplied with levelling tables for glass plate reflector (double through transmission) operation and have a manual manipulator incorporating transducer normalisation and height adjustment using controls conveniently located above the water level.
Options are also available for automation of the transducer height and normalisation.
Systems are normally supplied with a standard test instrument, the illustrated model having an Olympus NDT Epoch 4Plus flaw detector. The flaw detector supplies gated signal data to the system software for c-scan creation.
Options are available for a variety of flaw detectors ranging from basic instruments through to high-speed phased-array instruments.
Systems incorporate a state of the art computer system equipped with the latest Midas-NDT data acquisition & evaluation software.
An external ethernet port allows the option to link the inspection system to company networks and a full range of back-up options are available.
Scan shapes can be easily programmed using simple wizards, any scan parameters can be stored and recalled by the operator using the given scan shape name. This allows a customer to carry out the inspection of multiple components of a similar shape.
